Starting out

How much does a website cost?

It depends on what you need built and run, so the price is not on this page. We give it on the call, with the plan, and you hear it before anything is built.

What does it cost to keep a website running?

We price the building and the looking after together, on the call, and you hear both before anything is built.

How long does it take to build a website?

It depends on what is being built, so we give you a date on the call, once we know what you need. Every screen is drawn and shown to you first, and nothing is built until you say yes.

What do you need from me?

A 30-minute call to start. After that, the details of your business, your logo if you have one, and a few minutes to look at each screen before it is built. If your records are in a spreadsheet or another system, we move them in.

What does a web design company do?

We design and build your website, your online ordering, your customer records and your monthly figures. Then we stay on as the people you call. When no app sells what a business needs, we build it.

Do you work outside the UK?

Yes. We work with businesses in England and in Canada. Calls are any day from 9am to 8pm UK time.

After launch

Who do I call when I need a change?

The people who built your site. One number, answered by people who know your business. Ask for a change and we make it, then tell you when it is live.

Do I own my website?

Your customers, their records and the words and pictures you give us are yours. How the site and your web address are held is written in the agreement, and you read it before you say yes.

What happens if I leave?

Your CRM has a Take everything out page: one file of every record, free, whenever you want it. The terms for the site and your web address are in the agreement you read before you say yes, and we go through them on the call.

How do I get enquiries from my website?

People enquire when they find the page that answers what they searched for and see the next step at once. We write a page for each thing you want to be found for, put the enquiry on it, and send every enquiry to one place. Your monthly figures show which pages and searches brought people in.

Takeaway ordering

Do you take a cut of my orders?

No. We take no cut of your orders, and card payments go into your own account.

I am on a delivery app now. Do I have to leave it?

No. We set yours up alongside it, move your regulars across, and you switch the old one off when its contract allows.

Do orders print in my kitchen?

Yes. Each order prints as a ticket in your kitchen, with the customer's note at the top, and moves along the kitchen screen from received to delivered.

Can customers order for delivery and for collection?

Yes, both, from your own site. Customers follow their order on a page that shows each step, from received to delivered.

What happens to my customers' details?

They are yours: names, numbers and what each person ordered. They stay with you, not with an app.

CRM

What is a CRM, and does a small business need one?

A CRM is where a business keeps every enquiry, customer and quote, so nothing is lost between a phone call and a start date. A business that lives on enquiries and quotes usually needs one. A shop that sells over the counter often does not.

What does the CRM do for a builder or a trade?

It keeps every enquiry, quote and job in one place, from the first message to the finished work. It is made for builders, trades and other businesses that live on enquiries and quotes.

Will you move my customers across?

Yes. We set it up for the way your business works and move your records in from the spreadsheets, apps or notes you keep now.

Will it look like my business?

Yes. It uses your colours and your own web address, so your customers see your business and not ours.

Does the CRM do quotes and invoices?

Yes. A quote, and the invoice that follows it, sit beside the enquiry they came from, so you can see where each one stands.

Analytics

What will I see each month?

Visits, enquiries, orders and bookings, the searches that found you and how you appear in Google, in plain words, in your own admin. We read it through with you.

How do I get my business to show up in ChatGPT?

Assistants answer from pages they can read and trust, so we write yours plainly: what you do, where and for whom. Each month we ask ChatGPT and Claude the questions your customers ask and show you what they said about you. Nobody can promise an assistant will name a business.

Will I see where my enquiries come from?

Yes. Each enquiry shows the page it came from, and your figures show the searches that brought people to the site.

Do I need another analytics tool as well?

No. Visits, enquiries, orders and bookings are counted in one place, so you do not add up figures from several tools.
